David Paton - successful student

"Absolutely first class instruction from start to finish. Want to learn to ride a bike? Don't go anywhere else but Pro-Scot, huge thanks to all".
David Paton, passed his motorcycle test with Pro-Scot with one minor fault, 7th December 2007

On the day of your test, for Mod 1 or Mod 2 you will need to remember the following...

  • On the day of your test you will need to turn up 1 hour before your test time at Pro-Scot's head office in Barclay Court, Mitchelson Ind Est (Unless your training schedule states otherwise);
  • You must remember to bring BOTH parts of your new style licence (Paper and Card parts), if you have an old style licence, you must bring your valid passport (More than 10 years old not acceptable);
  • You must also bring your valid DL196 or CBT certificate, your theory pass certificate, (for a Mod 2 test you must take along your certificate of competence which was handed to you after passing Mod 1).
  • Failure to bring any of the above documentation will result in your test being canceled by the DSA, your tests fee will be lost.
  • If you need glasses to read a new style number plate at 65ft or 20.5m, you must bring them with you and wear them for the test;
  • Helmet clothing and hi-vis clothing will be supplied (You can wear your own motorcycle clothing providing it is suitable);
  • Your instructor will give you a 15 minute warm up in our off-road training area, and will then take you out for a 30 minute mock test (Or warm up if the thought of a mock test puts you off!);
  • Your instructor will present you to the test centre at least 5 minutes before your test. The examiner will theb check your documentation and get you to sign his assessment form. Your test has begun!;
  • The test will last approx 35 minutes, your route will cover approx 6 miles in varied road and traffic conditions. At the start of your test the examiner will check your eyesight by getting you to read a car number plate, he will then ask you some show me/tell me questions on basic bike maintenance. At the end of your test your examiner will ask you a question about carrying pillion passengers, he will then give you the result of your test Pass/Fail;
  • Pro-Scot has one of the highest pass rates around, you will be well prepared for the test before being presented. Go in and ENJOY IT, let them see how well you have been taught. Have a look over some of our many genuine Motorcycle testimonials from actual students, to see why we are the first choice for anyone wanting to learn how to ride a bike confidently and safely.
