Pro-Scot success based training formula is systematic and develops all the key skills required to pass successfully. The course builds on what you are doing correctly not what you are doing wrong. This provides a positive and upbeat approach helping to build your confidence while you develop.
We will advise you on what books you may consider purchasing for Part 1. You will also have unlimited access to our extensive library of additional books, videos, audio cassettes, CDs & DVDs plus the full use of our computer suite.
In addition to the theoretical element of the Part 1 test, we will provide you with video and CD ROM training materials to assist you with the Hazard Perception Test. If you do not have access to video or computer equipment at home, suitable equipment is available in our computer suite or you can attend one of our Theory Classes.
For Part 2 of the test you will have the option of using your own vehicle or one of ours depending on which you feel more comfortable using. All training is conducted on a 1:1 ratio. The amount of hours you will need for Part 2 can vary from individual to individual, however 12 - 16 hours is about average on a 1:1 ratio. Each training session will be followed by a debriefing that counts toward the hours of training you receive. More training hours can be booked if required. We will ensure that you are able to pass the examination with confidence.
Once you have passed the Part 2 test, and completed 40 hours of Part III training, it is possible to take out a Trainee Licence to instruct for a 6-month period, to help you prepare for the Part 3 test of instructional ability. Trainees are self-employed and earn the same hourly rate as our fully qualified ADIs. Instructors on a Trainee badge can typically work 30 - 40 hours per week and earn while gaining valuable hands on experience before attempting Part 3.
Part 3 of the training comprises of both practical and theoretical study. Your trainer will assess your ability to teach and communicate, as the course proceeds, and your training will be planned accordingly. Like Part II the amount of hours you will need for Part III can vary from individual to individual however 40 hours is usually about normal for a 1:1 ratio. Further training sessions can be booked if required.
