To get you through the various tests and on the road. This is done with a degree of determination that would be difficult for others to compete with. If you are capable, you WILL pass.

One of the best aspects of getting started was the buddy system. This is pairing you up with an experienced ProScot instructor in your area. This provides invaluable experience on knowing where specific roads / areas are good for beginners, then intermediate etc. Knowing where the really challenging areas are means you don’t just stumble across them unaware of what your student might do and how you will react while still inexperienced yourself. Introduction to the Test Centre and knowing what to expect before taking your first student for their test builds confidence. I always found John and the team generous with their time and very supportive, including financially, of my needs when dealing with unexpected illness and family bereavements. Importantly, I always had a full diary.

When I first decided to become a driving instructor there where a few companies I could have gone with. ProScot was the only one that gave me the flexibility I required to complete my training whilst still working at my previous job. I used to work different shifts every day. My instructor, John went out his way to make sure I got the training I needed at the times that suited me. Without his help I honestly don’t think I would have managed to complete my training.

After passing my final exam I was still given all the support that I needed. I was given a mentor; my instructor was always on the other end of the phone but the most help I got after passing was from the office staff at ProScot. I found the new job quite overwhelming to begin with and I was not sure if I was going to stick with it. After talking to the staff at ProScot they gave me some invaluable advice that made me stay, which turned out to possibly be the best decision I’ve ever made. I now have a job that I love. I work the times and days that suit me. I also don’t have to travel far between lessons. I get the pupils I want in the locations that I want.
