NO LICENCE
If you don’t hold any licence, application forms can be collected from larger Post Offices (form D1) or ordered from gov.uk.
If you hold an EU licence but do not have a UK counterpart (D58/2) showing provisional entitlement, you will need to contact the DVLA on 0300 790 6801 and request a D9 form. Alternatively, you can download an application form from gov.uk.
If your licence is from outside the EU and you’re able to swap it to a UK licence, then you will need form D1. For a list of countries which are able to convert their licences to a UK one, please visit the gov.uk Countries page.
For all fee information and a wealth of other licensing information, visit the gov.uk website or contact the DVLA by phone on 0300 790 6801.
FIND YOUR DRIVING LICENCE NUMBER
Your driving licence number can be found on your photocard or older format paper licence.

FIND YOUR UNIQUE LICENCE CHECK CODE NUMBER
To find your unique licence check code number, visit the gov.uk website and enter your driving licence number and National Insurance number. You will be provided with a unique code.
We use this code on the day of your CBT to check for any penalty points or disqualifications that might prevent you from being able to do your CBT. This is a legal requirement and must be carried out by all Approved Motorcycle Training Bodies (ATB).
