James Kilgour

I would highly recommend getting automatic driving lessons with James. After starting to learn to drive in a manual at 17 and getting a massive fright - I vowed to myself never to get back in the drivers seat of a car again and that I’d never learn to drive ever. Fast forward 7 years and I have just passed my driving test first time with 0 minors in an automatic car. I definitely think this was down to James’s great teaching techniques, patience and straight forward explanations. There was no such thing as a stupid question according to James, and he gave me the confidence to keep learning even when I didn’t have confidence in myself! A really lovely guy and I will really miss our chats every weekend! Thank you to James for all the time, positivity and confidence - couldn’t do it without him😊

I just wanted to write and say how wonderful my ProScot instructor was. So patient and professional. As an older woman, I found it quite difficult to come to driving so late and James was amazing. Lessons were very flexible and, although it did take me some time, I finally found the confidence I needed to pass my test. Thank you so much James!

Passed my test on 17th November after taking lessons with James although he was not there on the day which was my choice(through nerves ) he got me there as from day 1 always showed care and understanding and a great deal of patience lol I was 60 when I passed my test and without James I would not of passed.

I recently passed my driving test (first try!) after taking several lessons with James Kilgour. James was fantastic. He was thoughtful, patient, and informative throughout the process, providing reassurance and practical feedback that both helped me pass my test and ensured I could confidently and safely drive thereafter. James also brought a calming presence that helped ease nerves and allowed me to feel comfortable asking questions. Due to his approach, I felt both supported and prepared. I cannot recommend James highly enough!

I could not recommend James enough! Honestly helped me through everything I need help with, he was always there when I was doubting myself and always knew how to keep me motivated! So so patient and helpful! Can’t thank him enough!

No matter what the question he was happy to answer and had the patience of a saint even when I had my worst days with anxiety and made mistakes. I have today passed my driving test with James Kilgour as my instructor. It has been stop start during covid but he could not have been better. Always takes the time to run through everything thoroughly to make sure you understand, and makes you feel at ease when you do something incorrect. I could not recommend James enough to people. I passed in his new automatic electric car and it is so smooth to drive, he is definitely the go to instructor for automatic lessons in the area.
